Lodi is a pure Java Servlet based web transaction engine for building and running ultra-secure and efficient e-commerce solutions on any platform from Linux to IBM S390s.

Lodi allows remote browser based development, testing and deployment of DHTML or Java database applets that support any size http or java client, and provides all the critical services a web developer needs to build applications that support these clients in e-commerce over the low bandwidth and wide-open public Internet.

Lodi is a web transaction server that any HTTP enabled device can use to access and update data from over the Internet. Lodi services include database access, browser independent remote method invocation and file services, application security and session management, e-mail broadcasting, remote reports, and JSP template processing.

Lodi supports all major SQL and legacy system databases through JDBC/ODBC on the server instead of clients, making it far easier to integrate and publish information to end users.
