TPEX is two consulting firms in business since 1985, that combined in 1995. The partners bring decades of software design and teams to the Fortune 500.

In 1996 the State of California (EDD) hired TPEX to build a web site that captured and published information about social, un-employment and welfare services offered to the peoople of that state, by the state. The site began life as HTML 1.0 and progressed to a large Java web site by mid-1997. We discovered the good and bad of Java by 1996 and built the web transaction server Lodi, with Java and DHTML Client Kits to make it easier and allow remote development over the web.

Lodi solves the major problems we discovered with development technologies for the Internet, namely security, slowness and lack of browser independence.

Over the past two years we assisted AT&T and Hewlett-Packard, Wal-Mart and Citibank to build infrastructures and commerce solutions for the Internet.  We assisted a major vending machine company to smartcard enable vending machines, built smartcard protected stored value e-commerce self-service e-banking for AT&T, and built government welfare web sites using Microsoft and open standard solutions for foundations.

TPEX Consultants are fluent in all forms of Windows and many flavors of UNIX and excel at CORBA and building distributed computing systems using object oriented frameworks and toolsets.
